Licensed Builder (Low Rise or Open) For Tiny Homes Business
Date posted: 15/10/2025
Location: Mundoolun, Queensland
Company: Snug Life Tiny Homes
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Casual (initially) and moving to Full-time as orders ramp up. We do a four day work week–giving you a three day weekend every week to enjoy life.
Compensation: $50 per hour + 1% of Gross Profit.
We’re Snug Life Tiny Homes, a Queensland-based startup designing and building high-quality, transportable homes using Bondor SIPs. We focus on efficient, council-friendly designs that are built to last—and to travel.
Our long-term vision goes beyond the private market: we aim to partner with community organisations to provide housing for at-risk and homeless individuals. We’re in this to build not just homes, but solutions.
We’re currently taking pre-sales while we acquire our QBCC Company Contractor Licence and finalise our build site. To complete the next step, we’re seeking a QBCC-licensed builder to act as our Nominee Supervisor.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the Nominee Supervisor for Snug Life’s QBCC Company Contractor Licence
- Review, oversee, and sign off on builds (tiny/modular homes)
- Liaise with installers, subcontractors, and occasionally clients
- Help shape build processes and quality standards in the early stages
- Assist in construction of Tiny Homes
- Manage final installation of prefab buildings on customer property as necessary
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about quality, compliance, and the potential for social impact
- Holds a QBCC Low Rise or Open licence
- Eligible and willing to be the Nominee Supervisor on a company licence
- Seeks flexible part-time work now, with the goal of scaling to full-time involvement
- Interested in long-term opportunities including profit sharing
- Familiarity with Bondor SIPs is helpful, but not essential
- Has existing contract/part time work that allows flexibility during Snug Life’s startup phase
Why Join Snug Life Tiny Homes?
- Be part of a new company from the ground floor (pun intended)
- Contribute to a mission to find housing solutions for those in need
- Get in early on a scalable business model with profit-share
- Start with flexible casual work, transitioning to salaried/full-time as work increases
- Work with a small, committed team building smarter homes for modern living
